Made of good quality stainless steel with a brushed finish and the handle is hollow to reduce weight but is still a good quality heavy stainless steel. A good sized stainless steel loop is located at the end to hang up this brush. ◆3. Dishwasher safe for easy clean up. ◆4. The silicone bristles can be removed from the end of this basting brush which is usually not necessary for normal cleaning, and this is typical of this type of brush. I love this about this brush because once in a while I want to remove it to thoroughly clean it separately from the handle. I grap all of the bristles and pull with steady pressure to remove. Just make sure it is pushed all of the way in when you start basting, it holds securely and does an excellent job.
