Product Description
Aloha Shoyu – Add a Little Aloha To Your Day
In 1946, post World War II, five Japanese families opened up a small soy sauce manufacturing plant in Kalihi, Hawaii. Since that time, Aloha Shoyu Company has grown into a prominent Soy Sauce provider in the Hawaiian Islands. We named our company with two words: ‘Aloha’ and ‘Shoyu’, to express our deeply-rooted island heritage combined with our Japanese history. ‘Shoyu’ comes from Japan and is renowned in Hawaii for referring to soy sauce. Meanwhile, ‘Aloha’ has a multitude of meanings in Hawaiian culture - kindness, unity, humility and perseverance - which we incorporate into our values every day.
