Step 1: Pre-Heat grill for 15 minutes just to soften or melt debris.

Step 2: Use the grill scraper to gently scrape off the dirt or grease on the grill

Step 3: Fill water with a small container to frequently soak the stainless steel grill brush while brushing.

Step 4: Scrub in the direction of the grille. Do not glide over the horizontal grille as you would with a wire brush.

Step 5: Tilting the grill cleaning brush back slightly for a deeper clean. Wipe the surfaces with a wet rag to eliminates any left-over wire on the grill

All brushes wear out eventually. As they get older it is important to check no bristles are coming loose. If this starts happening it's time for a replacement. Brown markings on the scraper were welding marks not rustiness. It was caused by the process when welding grill brushes and grill scraper together at high temperature (2726 ℉). Therefore, It's normal for brown welding mark on the top of scraper. You may rest assured that it's not quality problem.
